Thanks oldgreywhistletest - appreciate the analysis, and good timing with the recent drop in CHF bets a few days ago.

Can ANYONE comment to the action of the CHF? I keep getting burned going short it (USD, GBP, AUD). It's like the anti-currency - when things appreciate against others, they seem to depreciate against the CHF. I can't figure it out at all.

Thanks,
Rob

Hello all,

Just an FYI - quite late to mention...but I use Gain (forex.com) and I didn't get stopped out of the GBP/NZD trade (I think the day of the RBNZ decision) - I can't recall the high, but I'm pretty sure it was about 30-40 pips below the stop. I've held it since and am well in the green. Perhaps question your broker or change to another if you were stopped out. Seems like quite the difference....

Happy trading and holidays all!

GBP/CAD is the question?? It's been on a tear, but seeing that UK will probably be first to raise rates and CAD, who knows when (maybe before ECB, but one of the last regardless). I'm thinking it may just continue. 2.05/6 may be a barrier, and if Fed is dovish, oil may go up, along with CAD causing a drop in the pair, but that may be very temporary.

Any thoughts?

Happy trading.

Thanks for the insight scaramongo - yeah - this is a fairly risky one that I'm in on, stop at 1.4780 in case it overshoots the low of 1.4813

Does anyone else see a triple bottom in the GBP/USD weekly chart? Or did it fail at what might have been a triple bottom about 7 weeks ago? Thanks.

Hey Ashraf - is there any way you might share some thoughts on the Vix? I'm long UVXY.
It's a volatile one as you probably know...
Thanks

Hey Ashraf,

I got in EUR/AUD short at 1.43 - do you still see 1.3520 printing as you mentioned on City Index in early September? I'd love to just let it ride...who wouldn't I guess.

Thanks,
Rob

Thanks for the reply Ashraf - I got stopped out too soon... and missed this message without checking back enough.

One question - how is what you're doing with Hamzei Analytics different than your Premium insights?

Thanks,
Rob

Hey Ashraf,

Doing great with the premiums, minus GBP/USD...anyway

Any USD/CAD premiums on the radar?

-Closed above Daily/Weekly downtrend from March.

-Closed above 55DayMA - albeit 200DayMA is right above at 1.0830

-Closed above 200monthMA

Am I crazy to see 1.1080 in about 2-3 months?

Not sure your take on the fundamentals, or technicals for that matter.

Thanks!
