The AUD is holding well against the GBP. If the election uncertainity was in Britain as it is in Australia there would be a run on the pound. For some reason, despite weaker figures and election uncertainty, the aussie is holding up.

Any view on GBP/AUD? Break through the 1.8000 resistance?

Any reason why the GBP keeps retracing against the AUD? It gets up to around 1.75+ and then drops down and then does it all again. With good figures coming out and the GBP being at historic lows against the AUD surely it is time for the GBP to rise above 1.80 against the AUD and hold?

@macrosam - GBP/AUD seems range bound between 1.70 and 1.80. It cannot break through the 1.80 barrier which given that it is at historic lows is surprising.

@stationdealer - thanks. Always appreciate your posts. What do you think for this pair? The GBP has been making some nice gains but well below historical levels at the moment. Will it regain the 2:1level in say 18 months?
