tony, i was a young man just like you in teens. and i learn how to make guns or something like that. and i study chairman mao's theory and other philosophy/psychology. i give it up all of those many years ago.

that is nothing, just part of history movement, most people would do nothing unless they have been seriously affected.

and us/fed do not have responsibility to the world, all they concern is us themself, just like most people.

furtunately, my old studys help me in trade.

@sydneyjames

Today's data shows that inflation pressures in China persist:

0544 GMT [Dow Jones] China's stronger-than-expected trade data strengthen its economic growth prospects and indicate the country's inflation is picking up pace, ANZ economists Liu Ligang and Zhou Hao say in a note. The extraordinary increase in import growth shows China's strong demand for commodities, and an expected big rise in residential incomes will also drive the country's imports to continued growth this year, they say in a report. In addition, rises in the yuan's value will to some extent lower the cost of global commodities, the report says. China's January exports rose 37.7% on year, China customs data show, compared with December's 17.9% rise and economists' +22.4% forecast. January imports were +51%, compared with +25.6% in December and economists' +28.6% forecast. (rose.yu@dowjones.com)

Dave, that's exactly right. With the US holding the world's reserve currency they owe the rest of the world a duty of care not to devalue the dollar. So far they are only using their financial muscle through the FED to lower the purchasing power of the poor. This type of manipulation is wrong morally and must be stopped. The problem is very few people actually understand what's going on and blame others when the real source of blame is the FED.

hi guys, please correct my logic here if i am wrong/

there r rumour saying China CPI will be lowered, therefore, it means that the inflation will be decreased as well, which means a less volatile economy in China. Hence, causing Chinese and Australian stock market to rally, which also brings up the Aussie/USD.

Am i Right?

Some guru please correct me

cheers

Monday Risk ON - with Asian equities on steroids today :-) ASX likely to test 5,000 and just look at Heng Seng. What's the likelyhood of China raising rates tomorrow (Tue Asia).

Anyone shorting?

Ignore, I hear where you coming from loud and clear but the forum is a mix of fundamental and technical, perhaps an irreconcilable recipe :-) I have found it a distraction to actual trading in many ways so I now ration my time here during eur & us day session. There is too much bickering by far imho but I do have an interest in fundamentals. With technicals I am completely and utterly doing my own thing which is too elaborate to properly describe on this platform without detracting from personal performance.

I don't like anyone associating me with the word academic or intellectual which I am not and have never been. I never took my formal degree, just a practical engineer and bizman with a good dollop of common sense. I replied to TonyG because he seemed to be in some distress and I could understand where he was coming from. This is the wrong forum for his "revolution" but the subject of big ben and his strategies is probably debated and cursed on every trading forum on the planet. Nothing new there, Greenspan invited even more trader venom during his tenure. Trouble is that US destiny dictates world destiny !
