George, GU I can see further upside to 1.5470/5580. I see no point in attempting to predict the longer term future, timing is key and no one is any better than a coin flip for predicting timing. The world is in an almighty mess, who is to say which countries will implode first and when ? No answer to this question.

In reply to Qingyu's post
Yes Maggie Thatcher dies this morning. I always said she should have been burnt at the stake. She set the scene for the ruination of our country. Her foreign policy was good with the exception of the Faulklands war which was a war of convenience, many lives were lost to secure her a third term. The war could have been avoided.

Her home governance was a complete disaster leading to many of the problems we have today. Michael Heseltine was the only front bench politician to confront her, the rest were wets, lap dogs, poodles. She got away with murder, even had illusions she was the real queen :-)

I have always been a conservative but never have a I disliked any politician of any party (even Brown) like I hated and despised Thatcher. I have reams of correspondence with my (then) local MP Douglas Herd covering that era and predicting her creation of many of the ills we see today.

Now we shall have to endure a state funeral with all sorts of hypocrisy surrounding the event. Get ready the sick bowls chaps.

S&P hold AAA rating for UK for the time being. They say conditional upon holding course with austerity measures. They have done Osborn a big favour by hopefully silencing Brown's babies, specifically Baby Balls who can punt no other solution than to go back to spending vast sums of borrowed money.

The start of a series I have no doubt.

One could equally say that weekly chart shows triangle drawn from Aug 2009 high through April 2011 high for resistance--- and for support drawn from March 2009 low through May 2010 and June 2012 lows. The support was broken at c.1.5630 in mid Feb 2013.There are several EW interpretations one could apply to this triangle consolidation. I challenge you to provide a high probability count to any one possibility in a multi year consolidation, ce n'est pas possibla.

On your fundamentals you may be right and particularly if we see massive bank runs across the ezone following the extraordinary faux pas today by Mr Disselbloem. However the UK is in grande merde and we have to come up with something more than spinning money, we need real growth not your modern day skams and ponzi finance. I have very low confidence we can find a magic wand, the damage is just too deep. I don't think Mr Carney will make any great difference to Mr King and politicians are hopeless.
