Lucky,

Btw...I'm your witness that you DID SAY that the data will be weak. Well done!

Guys,

POINT TO PONDER: The worst of the recent market is behind us - Goldman fiasco, ECB Greece deficit figures, Greece rating downgrade, ash cloud & sone disappointing results...yet...YET...the market has been overall resilient (hats off to Dow). Gold, oil, equities, USD, GBP have been decent during aaaaaaall these happenings.

Now...NOW...if the markets have performed SO tenaciously during aaaaaaaaall this, what do you expect from here?! Say if there's NO bad news today...w/ a hint od +ve news...WHAT the HELL would THAT do the markets?! Just imagine.

This alone is preventing me from taking heavy positions. AT the same time, the Cartel might think that this is how Asad is thinking...so let's take him for a nosedive on the back of good news! Again, I'm torn...

Chloe,

Average price 83 & exit point 81.80. Anyone on this forum will tell you that 120 pips is super-decent! But it all depends on how often you've placed buy limits. In a volatile market, I'd add positions (short/long) every 50 pips. I kneeeewwww that Wall St luuurrrrrvvvvvs to go against the tempo...and so it happened. Oil was showing support at 83.40 (I think) when at 1430 GMT, the Streeters came and collapsed. During that collapse of 120ish pips, I added (shorted) twice...ultimately closing positions at 82.05 on the rebound!

I'm short again w/ an average of 83.65, though not as heavily as earlier this week...because I'm a bit torn about the movement today. My gut says they're going to collapse it s/where towards the end...but at the same time, I DO NOT like the current strength in oil. :S Ofcourse, if it collapses, I'll add to the shorts accordingly...

Lucky,

You see...I just told you five hours ago...

"Trust me, they're going to take us short...and then explode."

Indeed, they took us UNDER 82...and then brought it back to life - 83.5!

And now...when you start buying, they're going to take it down again. Verily, the best way to play the market is to trade against your thinking...

Seems my theory HAS come to life...

"If, at this moment, the world financial community was to quarantine, or sanitise, Europe...everything would be skyrocketing!

Except for Europe, the theme is 'recover, recovery, recovery'. We're such laggards, you see - the financial crisis originated in the US...and if theyyyyyyy can recover, why can't the Europeans?!

It's pathetic that one piece of sh*t has to drag the entire world down (well, the same went for US during 2009).

Asia, Americas & Australia are doing so well...but Europeans are the party-poopers...

Asad

P.S. In the coming days, I suspect, investors WILL realise this and go the bull alone!"

Catnip,

What's the worry then? ;)

Btw, I think Dow...and oil...will go up in a while. The jobless claims are good...and then Pepsi & Coke have given decent results (even if Nokia & Phil Mor had an average day). The theme of the day may as well be 'recover'.

Let's see if the US market can detach itself from the European worries. The Continent has been a laggard anyway - it's either America or Asia...

Catnip,

I'm honored you're gathering my opinion. :p

What I meant was that the sluggish wa the market's reacting, there's a HIGHER chnace of us seeing 1060 first, than 1160.

And it stays... :)
