Also...well, actually I may as well wait to see what you write about the FOMC. But my thoughts are, with all the flack Bernanke's getting, it may just be time to drop the "extended period of time" statement...perhaps another nice bounce for the dollar?

Hi Ashraf,

How much do you see the cut to Japan's debt rating outlook affecting JPY? I know you are bullish on the Yen, esp. against AUD. Just read it from here ---http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601080&sid=aIZE2XLgmsJQ Thanks!

Hey Ashraf,

Thanks so much for being "so quick on the draw" with your tweets! What would you say this means for EUR/USD? too soon to tell? Shoring up the risk on the banking system should be US economy positive by preventing blow-ups like the one we're in...traders don't see it that way though? Thoughts on EUR/USD would be appreciated. Thanks

Now that I think of it - I wouldn't be shocked if we saw a quick bounce in appetite if China shows increased GDP figures, only to quickly fizzle out after people realize that may lead to more tightening. But you seem to be controlling the switchboard these days Ashraf. Any thoughts on a cap for Gold. I'm wondering how much margin would be sufficient. Thanks

Since Jan 1 - USD/JPY, GBP/USD, and EUR/USD. I was about to short Gold at 1122 this morning until it fell from there. I'm thinking of going for it, but maybe I'll wait for a bounce (though it will probably be minor) - AND I should probably wait until China GDP and other figures. Not sure about when to get back into the dollar either. Against EUR - I was thinking it may pop back to 1.4140-60, but that's not looking likely right now. Thanks Ashraf! BTW - I voted for you for the Shorty awards with a different Twitter account than my usual one in case you didn't recognize it.

Ashraf - INSANE calls lately. I think you've nailed every single one since the beginning of this year. Thanks for all your hard work - and generous sharing! Looking forward to a killer 2010, couldn't do it without you!

Hey Ashraf,

Good luck on the Shorty awards - I certainly prefer your tweets over...

Anyhow, interesting about EUR/CAD, that it can't keep falling. Now, how about EUR/AUD? The two charts basically look the same. Do you see a better long play in EUR/CAD because of oil lately? How about longs in EUR/AUD from risk aversion. It's funny how they trade the same - I guess they both respect/disrespect the EUR the same way. Thanks

Hi Ashraf,

Thoughts on USD/JPY would be appreciated. With the VIX gap down, and possibly ready for a spike - would you hold off on going long USD/JPY? Or is there a level you'd prefer to wait to go long? OR, shorting is also a thought, but my bias is to go long. Thanks

Hi Ashraf,

Good luck with the Shorty Awards - you got my vote.

Question - how much weight do you think the rhetoric coming out of Japan holds? Do you see 95 in USD/JPY as they say they want? Therefore, would you say this is a good entry into longs for USD/JPY? I see you tweeted that USD index will gain next week. Thanks so much - Rob
