Been on my mind for some time and perhaps a little late to bring it up now, but in Saudi Arabia most people are satisfied with the advances made over the last 30 years and the leadership. You just don't see violent protests and rioting in that sort of prospering environment. Not saying that it can't happen; crowds can build energy of their own making. Just unlikely there I feel. You may get some 'energized' media reporting to sell news though in the short term.
Oil is capable of going higher on it's own merits.

Gold and silver may fall hard take care. The race for tightening is on. The middle east dust
takes some time to settle and then there is a new world order with USA united with muslim world
all democratic and under control of FED. Russia and China big loosers.

Dave, nice to see ya.
Some nice moves in CL and expect tomorrow more of the same.
Regarding $SPX, your levels to the downside generally align with mine. I continue to not expect a deep correction here - maybe a week of some more wiggle to the downside and the the OpEx next Friday I expect a resumption of the uptrend.
Good luck and all the best to the registered forum users.

I believe GS etc. haven't yet sold enough oil long options. Tomorrow will be their day when SA protests wave big. Think how that has evolved in Tunisia Egypt Jemen and Lybia. After they have raked in oil will drop. And stocks may rise, USD falls.
I am long brent wti gold silver from this afternoon on when they bottomed out. If plan works
I'll sell all these longs before close and go short, also short USD

Yeah Gunjack but this is different to the 73/76 fuel crisis and the cuts are barely taking effect yet. Prospects for our young workers are dismal I agree and when I see the price of train fares for comuters its almost unbelievable. The cruel thing in all of this is our inflation. Individual earnings have been static for 5 years !!!
