Don't Forget the Yen

Much ado about USD rebounds during falling markets, but JPY strength still outperforms USD.

See my latest IMT and twitter. RIsk aversion takes part in an enormous manner after DUbai fallout and Yen takes most of the unwinding because USD still has a problem with the Fed therefore quickly losing the risk aversion gains. Fridays after Thanksgiving have proven major movers in FX and this post-DubaiFallout Friday will be especially volatile.

Radu

crazy swings all over in yen crosses - down 200 up 100 pips all within a 30 minute time frame. will not be trading till monday - as this thin volume trading looks like will continue to have wild swings and will mess up quite a few charts and eat up stops.

good luck.

Hi Ashraf!
Congrats, once again your call about yen strength was amazingly good. Thanks a lot. I have closed my Aud yen short. Do you expect that Yen would get more stronger and another position can be opened on a decent retrace. Thanks again for your help

raj, 1200 gold is very plausible but a deccline towards 1100 is the even more possible as that would be a decline of < 10%. you sold Dow above that key retracment level, which is fine. we have yet to see a weekly close above 10335.
