Speculators' Futures FX Positions

The weekly figures on traders' futures commitments obtained from the Chicago Mercantile Exchange's International Monetary Market shed valuable light on the developing flows pursuing one currency versus another.

i suppose reassuring news for the prospects of the dollar. we will probably see a slow appreciation of the dollar in medium term. now that rumours about dollar being replaced have almost gone (for now) the dollar bears are in trouble.

Yes, Gun, With the Fed planning to slow its asset purchase program and the Bank of England expanding its own purchases, this will leave STERLING EXPOSED TO DEEPER LOSSES as the BoE remains the most generous provider of QE.

Hi Ashraf do you think GBPUSD is a good play on the short side with today's fed announcements?

Thx

Hey, Ashraf
I just read your IMT. Do you still think that USD will start rally from here??

I have some position on short USD/CAD and USD/NOK which I got them last night. I am wondering if I should hold it or book the profits now.

Best regards

Steven, likewise. I think it will come back down soon or a later. USD should benefit from slowing QE.

Who like me was shorting GBPUSD nicely and then found themselves being suddenly on the wrong side of the fence? Ouch.
