no i am not on twitter . However by all means the auctions Portugal Spain Italy were not "good"
and further the buyers are anonymus so we'll see next week how much the ECB bought...some say ECB bought all the crap. We may see a trend reversal with eurusd going to 135 if USDx chart
turns bearish so far it is not bearish.

Well guys one thing we must be sure of is that as ashraf is in CMC he is exposed to information we dont have any idea about , so his calls are not just based on technical and fundamental analysis but also certain other information sources.

this is of course just talk cannot be done:
European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet signaled hes prepared to raise interest rates if needed to fight inflation even as leaders struggle to contain the regions sovereign-debt crisis.

I do realize that it is easier to revise targets & come up w/ new arguments than it is to finance a losing position. But it is crucial to understand why targets are being revised; when is one wrong and when is one simply too early or too late. We need to learn from past mistakes.

The week of Dec 14 was a classic example when I may have doubted my EURUSD shorts but stuck to my guns after the $EURUSD closed at $1.3490s.

be back with more

Shane, the subset of participants in forex markets to do so purely for speculative profit motives is actually very small.

Well, if there is one thing that livens up this forum its when Ashraf comes unstuck :-) All I know is it aint at all easy to be right all of the time and especially when the calls are made public.

Yoni, I know what you mean but Ashraf's more macro perspective discards 300 or 400 pips as chicken feed when to the vast majority of retail traders that kinda drawdown can be devastating. Its a problem he needs to think about imho.

increased consumption has brought up energy prices, and higher energy prices result in higher costs to harvest and process food, which raises their prices. Chinese and other emerging market standards of livings increase, so does consumption. Floods, droughts, export quotas also restrict supply of wheat, sugar, rice, which adds to upward pressure on prices, not the Euro.
