@chloe: slightly different ball-game here (UK) I think with spread-betting. Very low entry-level cost for "traders" who may know nothing (as I did, not so long ago). We are very lucky to have Ashraf for the moment.

I've been doing it for almost 2 years and am still a beginner, really.

Lets make the most.

Peace and love to you all.

M.

Again, I'm not in your league @Chloe or Maciek's, but I increased my account by 15% today!
Can't quite believe it myself. This was all shorting cable, EUR/USD, and a bit of gold.
There would have been other opportunities but I had my hands full with those.
Yesterday was 5%.

Admittedly made no gains the previous 1st 3 days of this week, but today more than made up for it.
Some skill I guess, and probably a lot of luck, but I had the confidence in essential direction and goals because of Ashraf's expert guidance, which was the main factor.

I've had another go at voting, but I don't think it will count because I wasn't signed up for Twitter _before_ the Shorty Awards started, and the "small print" of the rules means that such a vote will be excluded. A great shame.

@Spec: Yes, on my daily chart, USDX is a nice 45 degree positive slope since mid-Jan!

@Mac: Seconded! I'm not in your league, tradesize-wise, but my account has received a major boost today. Even some of my old under-water trades have come home to Daddy :-).

Yesterday also a good day.

(Much) ore than recovered the damage inflicted by the Obama speech :)

Phew! quite a day. Wonder if Cable could actually get below 1.60? Seems unlikely in immediate term, but....

@Chloe: Gotcha - thanks. This might be what Ashraf means by "crushing" - it's so good it's risk positive and also USD positive. (Maybe). Seems to be only if ɱ% ...

@Edric: I wouldn't like to call it myself, but what you say would tie in with Ashraf's Tweet of ~1hr ago:

"the MAIN YEN downside yen risk today would be if US GDP crushes expectations, which would propel risk appetite & yen crosses"

(I think...)

@Chloe: an older Tweet reply (12 hours or so) included: "If US GDP > 4.7%, we can do 1.6030"

Implies that good GDP is USD positive. Seems to contradict the idea that it would be good for risk appetite. Am a bit confused now.

Same here :-) (My orders at higher values didn't get filled).

There seems to be a temporary cap around 1.6178 and a temporary support around 1.6111 and it's ranging in between.

Euro seems to be snoozing :)

Not sure what's happening with gold.

@Speculator: I get what you are saying, but in

"now we are most probably entering the risk bear leg which will not make new lows necessary. "

what do you mean by "which will not make new lows necessary." ?

Do you mean there will be no more lows in USDX (for this leg)?
