Wow DaveO, I hadn't heard of the special 0.707 crude level...
147.90 - 33.19 ---> retracement topped out at 114.82 and 70.7 fib is at 114.29
114.82 - 74.95 ---> retracement topped out at 103.36 and 70.7 fib is at 103.14
you can't get any closer than that on such long timescales.
Big clap to you.
Would you be looking at a 4H or Daily or Weekly close above 103.14 for a bullish case to retest 114.82 ?

Klondike, I think you got me wrong too: just because i think that this current euro rally has more to go (mainly due to more short covering), it does not mean that i believe in it at all! It is one of those rally that has me shaking my head to see euro flirting with 1.40 again in view of the utter mess and the terrible situation that Europe finds itself in at the moment.
Still, one has to trade what one sees on the chart and not what one thinks ought to happen; i can easily see further upside with some resistance every 100 pips or so (circa 3950, 4050 & 4150)

For those who smoke, one of the hardest thing to do is to stop smoking while trading as the 2 can become so entwined it's almost a ritual (it was for me anyway but I know many other traders/smokers will recognise themselves in this sequence if they are honest with themselves):
1.you look at charts
2.you decide on your trade
3.you roll your ciggy and light it up
4.you enter the trade
