We use dow theory to add positions to the first which is massive. We have a matrix of alert which forced us to move if we have big events on the fundamentals.
Our first objective is to provides solutions to our alerts in order to decrease the number of alerts...
Then we monitor the market and arbitrate our positions based on a few remaining Alerts..
The scalping is only used because we like some publication like nfp,fomc...

nevertheless, I have zero confidence in equities which do not reflect the real economics. You see younger traders despising volume studies so they would despise Dow theory also-- maybe they are right with all the HFT crap volume to further confuse.

at each main levels we place severals pending orders with massive positions with take profit for few pips 10 max.

we use exotics barrier options to hedge the portfolio
