Asad, is good to see you back again. Do you have any opinions on oil? Do you see it pushing back to 85? or do u think it will fall before reaching that level?
Thanks!

Pip,

There you go! I just came here to ask the same question.

I'm contemplating expanding my portfolio by adding silver. Doesn't seem like a good point to enter - ideally around 15 and BEST around 13 - but then...no, again, not good to enter. *heheh*

Silver, interestingly, is a MUCH better (& u/valued!) investment than gold - it hasn't risen by the same ratio as gold in the last five years. And then, silver has utility that gold doesn't!

Asad

P.S. Ashraf, what do you think?

@Pipster I tend to use the simple moving averages (200, 120, 50, 20) quite a bit along with the candle patterns. For me the these moving averages usually work well as support/resistance points. On the 4 hr chart we are currently trading below the 20 period sma. If we get a close below there the next support would be the 50 sma around 16.70. I am short off that bearish engulfing (along with the swift move down in gold) @ 17.33.

Hi Eelman,

I'm still learning the candles and getting to find the subtle signals. I'm only getting to grips with flags and wedges. I've gone short at 1730 on silver based on the 4hr chart which shows a rising wedge. ( Hope i'm right). With what you mention this could support my short position.

Also on the daily chart the stocastics are crossing over- more bearish signs.

Your help on this trade would be really helpful as it is the first time i'm trading silver.

Bearish engulfing candle on 4 hr silver chart. Still has to break some supportive moving averages in several timeframes though. If it drops through 17.20-25 there should be some room for a nice fall.

Fed indicates slow tightening, creating some downside in gold.
