Hello Ashraf
Following yesterdays BOC comment regarding any farther strength on the CAD will be negative for the economical growth,

Ashraf at what level aginst the USD do you see the central bank will intervene to steam the appreciation of Canadian dollar?

THANKS

Sal, what you are suggesting is the FIFO (first in first out) thesis, which i disagree with. USD weakness remains big part of the game , yet ability for USD to hold at those support levels must not be confused with STRENGTH. i.e. not falling more no same as strengthening. GBP losses are more of sterling UK story.

Dear Ashraf,

Could the strength in USD be due to investors now believing that, due to recent earnings, the US is going to be the first developed economy coming out of recession? in addition to other minor factors such as growing savings rate and shrinking trade defecit.

Thanks

Hi, Ashraf,
With the EUR breaking back overnight is your call for 1.3850 by month end affected ?. And, do you think that .82 is a pretty hard cap for the Aussie at present ?.
Many thanks,
