Ashraf has mentioned that the correlation between EURUSD-USDX is all time low (IMT posted on 26Jan) thus i believe even with the rally in equities tonite, the USD will stand strong. But this could this means a good chance to go long into USDJPY should GDP hits ɱ%? Anyone?

@mont.this could be a situation like back in nov when we had that huge increase in jobs -11k vs-179,the then both markets an usd rallied, i too have been confused lately,its hard keeping all the data streight an figuring out how the markets will react to it..gl

@Chloe: an older Tweet reply (12 hours or so) included: "If US GDP > 4.7%, we can do 1.6030"

Implies that good GDP is USD positive. Seems to contradict the idea that it would be good for risk appetite. Am a bit confused now.

Chloe I saw that tweet too...if GDP comes in around where UBS and GS are predicting expect risk appetite to return to mkts

@mont,i covered about hour ago 1.6135,new order @ 1.6186 but looks like 1.6159 is resisting further gain ,ashraf said last night 1.6250-60 good entry for fresh shorts ,his target is 1.6080 not sure if he changed it or not..also lookin to long usd @ 1.0625..ok gl

Same here :-) (My orders at higher values didn't get filled).

There seems to be a temporary cap around 1.6178 and a temporary support around 1.6111 and it's ranging in between.


Euro seems to be snoozing :)


Not sure what's happening with gold.

hey pippedoff,my gbpusd short was filled 1.6175,im back in the game lol..gl
