Yes I read you on the Hollande effect and likelyhood of eur cratering should this socialist prevail. I shall be interested to see if his words are quickly forgotten once he takes control. Pre election words are easy, actions more difficult.

Hollande is supposed to block a couple of Merkel's politics regarding ECB bailouts austerity etc. And he is a socialist. Socialists not good for currencies and neither for equities.

I think Merkel like a bit of rough so Hollande will not feature. But anything surely better than Sarkosy.

beware chart astrologers tealeaf readers : France presidental elections.
Apparently so far Hollande has an advantage over Sarkozy . Ok. for obvious reasons Merkel wants DSK for president. But a landslide victory of Hollande in the pre-election sunday could badly harm EUR.
