In the end fundamentals always win . Its merely a matter of timing. Be patient. A rather fmous optiontrader told us " I wouldn't give a guy a cent who trades technical analysis ... intermarket analysis is key to success and that never works without fundamentals" so one cannot be without the other but the weigthing is 80% fundamental 20% technical. Its all timeframe.

yes you have a speciality so good that you trade stocks you know something about and have a good "feel" for.

I don't knock short term trading. Sometimes the mkts are too confused for longer term trading when more profit can be made by in out in out in out.

cat's bot more like a event drive bot, most this kind of bot handle short term trade very good and accurate.

I suspect his bot is measuring currency strengths for short term trading.

Even our master cat has his bot to tell him which direction to trade and I doubt that his bot knows anything about fundamentals.

@Q, a little titchy today u be. Everyone has the right to post their (polite) opinions and often guys do not read what we really mean :-) Nor is always a polite gentleman :-)

AAPL was first brought to my attention by someone who was long term short, this was before Xmas. I looked at the chart and saw a good long set-up. I had no idea of the AAPL fundamentals until you mentioned them.

I agree with cat about EU recession but the technicals tell us which direction to trade and when to enter and exit. If we only traded fundamentals we would all be bankrupt.
